Manchester City secured a dominant 5-0 win against Norwich in the League Cup Round of 32 fixture held at the Etihad Stadium.

Floyd Samba opened the scoring for the hosts in the 29th minute, with an assist provided by Allan Andrade Elias. Norwich received their first yellow card in the 30th minute when Kellen Fisher was cautioned. Rayan Cherki extended City's lead in the 32nd minute, finishing off an assist from Ayyoub Bouaddi. Just before halftime in the 45th minute, both sides made their first substitutions, with Ryan McAidoo replacing Rayan Cherki for Manchester City and Paris Maghoma coming on for Papa Amadou Diallo for Norwich.

Early in the second half, Allan Andrade Elias scored City's third goal in the 48th minute, assisted by Rayan Aït-Nouri. Floyd Samba then added his second and the team's fourth goal in the 54th minute, once again assisted by Rayan Aït-Nouri.

Throughout the second half, both managers utilized their substitutes, with Norwich bringing on Anthony Musaba, Mohamed Toure, Ruairi McConville, and Oscar Schwartau, while Manchester City introduced Kaden Braithwaite for Allan Andrade Elias. Late in the match at the 90th minute, substitute Ryan McAidoo capped off the scoring with a fifth goal, assisted by Nico O'Reilly.
